Community Manager

San Diego, CA

Monday to Friday

About Union Cowork

Union Cowork is a vibrant, design-forward coworking community built for entrepreneurs, creators, remote workers, and dreamers. Our San Diego location is more than a workspace. It is a hub of creativity, connection, and collaboration. We thrive on good coffee, inspiring energy, and meaningful community.

About the Role

We are looking for a Community Manager who loves people, values aesthetics, and brings a sense of hospitality with ease. If you enjoy creating a memorable first impression, designing small experiences that delight, and fostering community in meaningful ways, this role is for you. This is a temporary position, ideal for someone who is proactive, approachable, reliable, and enjoys being at the heart of a creative environment.

What You Will Do

Curate the Daily Experience

  • Open and prepare the space with warmth and care — turning on lights, brewing coffee, and creating an inviting setup.
  • Keep the kitchen and shared spaces clean, stocked, and visually intentional.
  • Reset the space at closing to ensure a polished and consistent environment each day.

Champion Community

  • Greet members and guests and be the friendly, approachable presence they look forward to seeing.
  • Support and help host community events and gatherings.
  • Respond to member requests with a solutions-oriented mindset.

Lead Guest Engagement

  • Give tours and confidently communicate membership benefits.
  • Sign up guests for day passes or memberships.
  • Answer calls, messages, and inquiries professionally and with personality.

Operational Support

  • Coordinate maintenance and vendor visits.
  • Track supply needs and facility updates.
  • Check in daily with the overseeing Ops Coordinator.
Who You Are
  • You love people, and you are approachable and genuine.
  • Hospitality comes naturally to you.
  • You are organized and enjoy making spaces look and feel their best.
  • You communicate with clarity and friendliness.
  • You enjoy a job that blends structure with creativity.
  • Experience in hospitality, events, coworking, or service is a plus — but not required if the personality fit is right.
